Basic Module Functionality

Installation and Location in the Admin Environment

This functionality is installed by the website developers. It is intended for entering and managing the website's SEO settings.

Access to SEO settings management is gained by clicking the icon in the main navigation tools (see).

Management and Other Functionality

The SEO settings page is divided into several parts. The settings at the top are the most important, while those at the bottom are important but more intended for specialists.

At the top of the page, you can:

Enter the browser title.*

Enter a short, concise, and clear description of the website, e.g., whose website it is and what visitors will find on it.*

Enter keywords (separated by commas).*

Save changes.* These are global website SEO settings; almost every module has its own keyword and other input fields that override these global settings.

In the Robots.txt section:

The necessary part of the robots.txt file is displayed.

There is a field for adding to the robots.txt file.

A link to download/view the robots.txt file.

There is an option to save changes.

In the Sitemap.xml section:

The content of the sitemap.xml file is displayed.

A link to download/view the sitemap.xml file.

The ability to register sitemap.xml with Google, Bing, MSN, Yahoo, Live, Yandex, YandexBlog systems.

In the .htaccess section:

The content of the .htaccess file is displayed.

The option to enable GZIP usage and caching.

Frontend Operation (What Website Visitors See)

This functionality can be visible in visitors' browser tabs and can influence browsing, e.g., here you can specify website pages that Google will not find, etc.

Additional Information and Recommendations

SEO settings (browser title, etc.) are entered separately for each language (you need to switch to another language and go to this section). These settings (except for the ones at the top) should only be changed if you know the consequences exactly.
